A long walk
An outing to the Southern Ridges, the 9km walking trail from Mount Faber Park all the way to HortPark. Of course we didn’t try to complete the whole stretch on our first attempt, but decided that starting from Henderson Waves, the nicest bridge at the point covering almost 2 thirds the distance, will be good enough.

Henderson Wave, I vote this the prettiest bridge. God-blessed weather and crowd on a Saturday late afternoon.

We never walk without our dogs.

Chasey was such a dear today…

Views

Forest Walk, a 1.3km meandering metallic elevated walkway that connects to Alexandra Arch. Very zigzag, and sloping downwards all the way. Imagine walking 1.3km up the slope again…

Dint I mention the entire walkway was E.L.A.V.A.T.E.D…

After what seems like a dizzying stretch,

Chasey wonders which one is rest stop.

Ok lah, let you rest 10 seconds…

And smell Lucky’s bits…
Alexandra Arch

A really short one, the distance of an overhead bridge. Nothing fantastic about it since I pass by it everyday to work. That explains the ‘joyful’ face when I spotted my office building in the distance.
HortPark

HortPark, the Gardening Hub, however was a little more interesting. Spanning 23hectares, this park is a horticulturalist’s dream.

Consisting of numerous mini garden exhibits & playgrounds, this park displays the endless creativity of what anybody’s garden can look like, with a little help from the landscape designers credited at every exhibit.

Really tempting to jump in after all the hot & sweaty walking…

Chasey starts paddling her paws, can u see her movements? She is soooooo cute…
The BF starts to practice his macro & manual focus…

This statue happened to be a very well-endowed half-naked one. Picture the bf standing in front of it snapping away, looking like a perv and in the end he didn’t even take the full statue?!

Plants I’ve never seen before…

Manual focus, finally passed!
A Thai restaurant called ‘KHA’ is located within HortPark.

It has nice outdoor water facing chill-out area

Manual focus again…

Pity after walking such a long distance to get here we were quite tired to cover the whole park. Less photos for you, tat’s all! Go there yourself!

See, Lucky’s tyre punctured already!

We’re taking a taxi back to the car now, no way I’m gonna backtrack 5km! Tata!
